Color: Warm reddish-brown; fine powder that brews clear and evenly colored.
Flavor: Bold roasted aroma with notes of dry wood, roasted nuts, and a hint of brown rice husk. Thick-bodied with a nutty, deep aftertaste — characteristic of high-grade hojicha.
Umami: Very low (due to heavy roasting), but the finish is round and smooth, not drying.
Sweetness: Light after-sweetness, soft on the palate.
Bitterness/Astringency: None; the taste is smooth and gentle.
Texture: Ultra-fine, dissolves evenly. Ideal for hot brews, cold whisking, or hojicha latte.
📌 Suggested Uses:
Perfect for bold hojicha lattes, cold brew, or as a base in Japanese desserts (namagashi, puddings, cream sauces, etc.).
